Stuck at the "Turning on your camera and microphone"/Pre-event page

Before entering an event, make sure that everything is in order.

Toucan needs to access and use certain features of your device (camera, microphone, etc.). The platform makes sure that these are all working before allowing users to enter an event. 

Be sure to grant permission for the browser to use the camera and microphone. If the browser does not ask for permission, or if you grant permission but Toucan says it cannot function, try restarting your browser. 

If it still does not work, try going to https://www.onlinemictest.com/webcam-test/ (a third-party site that we are not affiliated with) which will let you test your camera. If your camera does not work, check that your camera is actually plugged in and that your operating system can use it.
